Conference Objectives:
At their core, foster care and adoption are deeply infused with and affected by systemic racism. We must understand key issues facing Black, Indigenous and People of Color (BIPOC) in order to improve our practices and achieve better outcomes for children of color and children in tribal communities. Participants in this conference will increase their understanding of the various ways that race and tribal affiliation affect children and families in order to achieve better outcomes all around.
