Presented by Loryn Smith, MSW: Loryn is the owner/CEO of Finally Home Christian Adoption Services, a private adoption agency in Hillsborough County, Florida. This role complements the 30+ years experience Loryn has in the child welfare system, working to impact the lives of children. She is certified through Rutger’s University and NACAC as an Adoption Competent Trainer, and trained in the Trust Based Relational Intervention Method.
Loryn brings practical application of parenting skills for children impacted by abuse and neglect. She also provides Family Coaching Services and works directly with families to assist them in developing effective parenting strategies for challenging children.
Loryn’s passion for children is also reflected in her personal life. She and husband, Thad, have fostered for 30 years. They are the parents of 15 children, eight of whom were adopted through the foster care system, and two who were not formally adopted but are considered permanent members of the family.
Cost: $75, includes on-site lunch.
